Fully-Licensed Mental Health Clinician

The full job description is available below.  Please carefully review all sections before applying.

Our Practice

Our mission at Webwell Group, PLLC is to provide accessible, high-quality, compassionate mental health and wellness services across the state of Texas. We are seeking a fully-licensed therapist to join us and help expand our capacity to serve our community. This is an opportunity to be a foundational member of a practice aiming for a balance of administrative support and clinical autonomy.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced, fully-licensed clinician to be a key contributor to our group. This role is ideal for a therapist who seeks the autonomy of independent contracting while gaining the operational structure and administrative support necessary to sustain a successful practice with minimal personal administrative burden. This is a 1099 independent contractor position.

Essential Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid and active Texas professional license (e.g., Fully licensed LPC, LMFT, LCSW, Psychologist).
  • Minimum of a master’s degree in counseling, psychology, clinical mental health, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
  • Professional liability insurance.
  • A minimum of two years of experience providing individual, couples, and/or family therapy (preferred).
  • Strong clinical and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems and telehealth platforms.
  • Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based, culturally sensitive therapy to individuals, couples, and families.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using our EHR system.
  • Adhere to all ethical and legal standards, including HIPAA and state licensing laws.
  • Assess and manage client risk, including crisis management.

Location

Clinicians have access to an office suite for in-person sessions in Richmond, TX, and are provided with HIPAA-compliant telehealth software for virtual sessions.

Schedule

You have the flexibility to set your own schedule and manage your caseload. Scheduling for in-person sessions requires coordination to ensure room availability. So, while the schedule is flexible and self-directed, consistency is encouraged to maximize the clinician’s ability to build a full, stable caseload. A minimum availability of 10 clinical hours per week is expected.

Compensation

Compensation for therapeutic services is a percentage of the collected fee, with the practice making no guarantee of a minimum number of clients or compensation. Fully licensed professionals are compensated at a starting rate of 60% of the collected fee, with opportunities to advance to a higher tier of 65% based on structured, verifiable experience criteria. The remaining percentage covers the cost of all practice operations and overhead, including but not limited to billing services (and any transaction fees); claims management and follow-up; credentialing oversight; physical infrastructure (office space, furnishings, utilities, lobby, and internet); and technology and communications (licensed EHR/Teletherapy platform, professional email, phone extension, and a paid 24/7 live scheduling service).

Caseload

We provide internal support to drive referrals, but building a full, sustainable caseload requires focused effort and collaboration. Insurance paneling is required for this role to aid in caseload growth. We utilize a streamlined, credentialing platform as our preferred path, but we can also discuss a self-managed option of direct paneling.

If a clinician prefers to pursue direct paneling under the practice’s NPI, this option can be discussed, but the process must be self-managed and will not be supported by the practice’s administrative services.

We encourage clinicians to participate in professional networking to complement our administrative efforts. If you have an existing caseload, we will work with you to get them into our system.

Administrative and Business Responsibilities:

As an independent contractor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical services, maintaining accurate and timely documentation within our EHR system, and adhering to ethical and legal standards. You’ll manage your own schedule, build your caseload, and participate in insurance credentialing. You will also ensure professional conduct, utilize our secure communication systems, and follow our financial and business policies, including those related to billing and client confidentiality.

Webwell Group, PLLC is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment for our clients and contractors. We welcome applications from all qualified therapists.

Important Note: This is a 1099 independent contractor position.
