Areas of Expertise
Life transitions can be challenging, and sometimes we lose our sense of identity during these times. I create a non-judgmental, safe place that utilizes compassion and patience, promoting self-growth and self-confidence, and allowing clients to be their true selves. I work wth clients experiencing general life changes/ transitions, trauma, anxiety, depression, burnout, self-advocacy, and self-esteem. I am also passionate about working with immigrants, individuals experiencing racial trauma, and serving young adults navigating major life transitions, particularly the shift to college life and the adjustment period after graduation.
Therapeutic Approach
Change often brings about feelings of uncertainty and anxiety. My therapeutic approach collaborative process, not linear, but built on trust, small wins, and adapting to each client’s unique needs. My person-centered approach allows me to understand my client’s worldviews, experiences, and interactions with their environment, and aid them in bringing awareness about themselves and the world around them. I aspire to have the ability to analyze and find the connection between social and psychological aspects of people’s lives. My goal is to reduce the stigmatization of mental health needs in marginalized communities.
